Jewar International Airport Gautam Buddh Nagar or Noida International Airport has come up with a new airport to boost connectivity for national and international routes.

 A modern airport ready to serve with enhanced digital sophistication.

This will facilitate the Indian Government Udan Scheme.

It will ease the pressure on Delhi Airport as major traffic on domestic routes may transfer here.

26 November 2021, the foundation was laid by Sri Modi Ji, our PM of India.

The project is developed with the help of Zurich International Airport Ltd.

Airport was to be operational by 2023-24.

Although, it is not yet operational.

Delays are part of the Indian sub-continent with any projects. 

 Within a few years before IGI Airport reaches its threshold traffic handling capacity the project will be ready.

This will make it easy for commuters to reach their destination with ease.

The project adds the first phase of 2 runways that will extend up to 6 in a few years.

It will get 4 passenger terminals.

The project area is 1334 hectares. 

The total estimated cost is Rs 29,650 Crore.

The owner for the project is Noida International Airport or NIALL.

The other operator is Yamuna International Airport pvt ltd. 

!00% subsidiary by international company “Zurich Airport International”.

The project gets architects as Grimshaw, STUP & Haptic architects. 

Consultants are:

NACO – Netherlands Airport Consultants. 

Urban Design System, AKT II, COWI, SLA. 

There is Alan Thompson, AEON Consultants, Studio Fractal, T2 Consulting. 

Phase 1: layout plan: It adds 90,000 sq m Terminal 1 building. 

It adds a CAT –III system that allows no fog disruption.

Phase 2: layout plan: Gets new terminal 2, parallel taxiway & new runway. 

Phase 3: It adds with new terminal 3 that runs over an area of 1,60,000 sq metre.

It confirms with Code F – Cat iii operations.

It has 3 rapid exit taxiways.

Apron expansion gives additional bays.

Phase 4: Master plan: It has Terminal 4 with 1,60,000 sq metre.

There are 25 additional bays, and 3 rapid exit taxiways.

It has a northern runway and has a 2nd parallel taxiway.

The project confirms Code F cat III operations.

It is about to become Asia’s largest & world’s fourth-largest airport with completion. 

It will serve 12 million passengers per annum and will grow.
